Hallelujah! After falling just short of a winning acca with our previous set of football accumulator betting tips, we were determined to go one better with last week’s picks.
And we did, happily. Four out of five legs landed with ease, while the fifth – Millwall with a +0.75 Asian handicap against Sheffield United – saw half our stake lost as the Lions conspired to throw away a 2-1 lead in the last ten minutes by conceding twice.

Having won at the City of London Stadium and taken a point at Old Trafford in a match they dominated, a trip to Selhurst Park will hold no fear for Wolves.
Indeed, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have only lost once all season in the league, and that was a rather unfortunate reversal at Leicester where they hit the woodwork on three occasions.
It’s hard to be as positive about Crystal Palace’s chances. The Eagles are grinding away under Roy Hodgson but appear to have plateaued somewhat, and the absence of the injured Christian Benteke is hitting them hard.
Sure, the Belgian has lost his touch in front of goal, but his physical presence gives Palace an out-ball that more talented players, such as Wilfried Zaha, can capitalise upon.

It was something of a surprise to see Crawley quoted as long as 29/20 to win this match.
Yes, they are wholly unpredictable, but their home form is generally good (W3 D1 L1) and they have scored in nine of their eleven league outings this term – notching two or more in four of those.
Cambridge, meanwhile, are without a win in five – losing four of those and shipping two or more goals in each.
The visitors have shipped in ten of eleven all told, so the hosts really do have to be fancied.
Macclesfield Town vs Notts County: Macclesfield/Draw Double Chance
There have been definite signs of improvement from Macclesfield, although the bookies don’t seem to have noticed. They make them 4/6 to win or draw on home soil against a Notts County side in transition under new boss Harry Kewell.
The Maccs struggled to get to grips with League Two at first, but recently they have given leaders Lincoln a real good game before going down 1-2, took a point off high-flying Forest Green and twice led Newport in the 3-3 draw in midweek.
Notts County will play like all Kewell sides do: attack with reckless abandon. It’s entertaining and easy on the eye, but defensively it can lead to problems and it will be interesting to see how the Magpies take to it.
Yes, they’ve started brightly under the Aussie, but three of his four games in charge have been on home soil.

Montpellier are improving nicely in attack, blasting five goals in their last two games, to go with the defensive solidity that has seen them concede just six goals in eight starts with four clean sheets thrown into the mix.
Valencia vs Barcelona: Barcelona to Win
Barca’s slow start to the campaign has spooked the bookmakers, who have them as long as 4/6 to beat Valencia on Saturday.
You have to go back to 2007 to find the last time that Barca lost at the Mestalla, and in 24 meetings at Valencia’s home the Catalan outfit have lost just six.
To add further flames to the fire, the Valencians have scored just four goals from open play this season, and that will be of huge concern to their supporters.
Yes, we know that Barca took on Tottenham in the Champions League on Wednesday, but that is factored into a price which, to our eyes at least, looks a little long on La Liga’s reigning champions.
